What leaves your phone, and what doesn’t.

This page is the short version, in the words the app uses. The full policy is linked here and takes precedence.

01

Health data

With your permission, and only the types you allow. The readings CoreFuel uses are sleep, heart-rate variability and resting heart rate for the BECAUSE block, and your weight, height, age and sex to set your targets. The iOS permission sheet lists every type it asks for, and you can refuse any of them.

The only thing CoreFuel writes back is the weight you type at check-in.

02

Photos of food

A plate photo is uploaded to our server and sent to a model to be read into items. It is not analysed on the device, and we do not claim otherwise.

Progress photos from a weekly check-in are treated as the most sensitive thing in the app and are never used for anything but the body analysis you asked for.

03

Voice

A recording is uploaded, transcribed, and then discarded. It is not kept on the phone and it is not kept on the server. The transcript is shown to you before anything is worked out from it.

04

What we do not do

There are no ads and no advertising identifiers. Nothing you log is sold. Nothing you correct is used to retrain a model.

05

Your controls

You → Account → Export my data: one file, newest records first.

You → Account → Delete account: erases your meals, photos, check-ins, targets and the account itself. It does not cancel an App Store subscription, which Apple holds — cancel that first.
